Services we provide

The statistics are staggering.

The incidence of hip dysplasia and cruciate ligament injuries in our four legged friends is simply unsettling.   (Learn More.)  Obesity in pets, which can contribute to these problems, is a growing concern.

At Fenway Bark we believe in the power and value of adjunctive treatments for these and other maladies that face our furry family members.  It would be nice if a simple pill or a single visit to a veterinarian erased these types of quality of life and health concerns from the lives of our pets, but it never is that simple, isGolden Retriever it?  Fortunately, Fenway Bark can help.

Fenway Bark will offer progressive healing adjunctive therapies in partnership with your own veterinarian to foster the healing process and bring comfort to your recovering pet. Over the course of 2010 we will be bringing services to Fenway Bark that will help your family member recover more quickly and comfortably than ever before.

Our healing offerings will include:

  • Hydrotherapy
  • Heat and cold wraps
  • Laser Treatments
  • Massage
  • Acupressure
  • Nutritional Guidance
  • “The Portly Pup Program” for overweight dogs
  • Special Diet and Exercise prescription programs for various conditions
  • Vitamin and Mineral supplement guidance
  • Prescription Diet Programs

The services will be offered by our professional care team consisting of trained veterinarians and Senior Veterinary Technicians with greater than five years of experience serving the veterinary community.  All of our physical therapists are licensed by a canine physical therapy school of higher education and work under the direction of Natalie Waggener DVM, South Boston Animal Hospital, who will work in partnership with your veterinarian to deliver the best care possible for your family member.

Your pet can stay at Fenway Bark in one of our hotel rooms for a few weeks of therapy prior to returning home under your care, or you can drop off your pet at the beginning of the day and pick up the well-cared-for patient at the end of your work day.  Remember, we have trained physical therapists and veterinary technicians to watch over your pet all day long and ensure that they are well cared for on private, slow walks in the neighborhood or in the indoor play area.  We make it easy for you to offer your pet the best in recovery options without impinging on your schedule or work day.
